Yacht Insurance Terms
All yachts are insured in compliance with Port State regulations, covering accidental damage, including damage to third parties. The insurance encompasses Yacht Hull, Machinery, and Equipment as well as Third Party Liability.
The insurance does not cover theft or loss of personal belongings onboard or accidents involving charter travellers.
Events arising from willful misuse, gross negligence, fraudulent behaviour, illegal activity, or breach of charter terms may not be covered by the insurance. This includes unpaid repair, refuelling, or berth dues.
The insurance carries a deductible per insurable event; therefore, an excess security deposit is required from the Charterer.
Local Formalities Terms
As a condition of booking, all individuals embarking on the yacht must comply with local regulations by providing specific information to governmental authorities. This includes, but is not limited to: full name, gender, date of birth, and details of the travel document including type, number, country of issue, expiry date, and country of residence.
Upon booking, the Charterer will receive a (Proforma) Charter Party for signature. Additionally, due to Greek law, a separate “Greek Charter Party” must be executed locally and filed with the local Port Authority before possession of the yacht can occur.
This local agreement will be in both Greek and English and will have identical terms to the Proforma Charter Party. In case of any discrepancy, the terms of the Proforma Charter Party will supersede those of the Greek Charter Party.
By requesting a booking in Greece, both the Charterer and Broker(s) acknowledge that Blue in White is authorized to act as an agent to facilitate the signing and execution of the Greek Charter Party for timely vessel delivery. The Charterer agrees to sign this upon arrival at the charter base.
